Morning Flight of Eos and Eros Intaglio Necklace

In Greek mythology, Eos is the Titan Goddess of the Dawn. Described as a rosy-fingered, ethereal beauty, draped in a saffron gown, it is said she would rise from her home at the edge of the Oceanus to open the gates of Heaven, allowing her brother Helios—Lord of the Sun, to ride his chariot through the sky. This intaglio depicts her morning flight with Eros, the God of Love. He caringly holds a torch, lighting her path.

Cast in reclaimed bronze from an 18th century intaglio and is handcrafted in Vancouver, Canada.
